What was the bright spot of your weekend? I had a few! A surprise candlelight concert of Vivaldi’s 4 seasons at The Cotton Factory in #hamont followed by sunset over Bayfront Park and co*cktails at The Keg Steakhouse + Bar Dinner at Paramount Fine Foods with my sister, nephews, my spouse and my parents. It was soooo much food and delicious. What were your highlights?

This part of the story is incredibly important but very hard to do in lean organizations “But there is more to it. The organization supported him. By not penny pinching on headcount, by not overworking anyone, by building slack in the system so that no one snaps, by creating systems that people can fill in for each other.”What does slack look like in your organization?

12% of respondents said they don’t have a practice for self care… and I am not surprised at all. Often times we do but it has no label, or it’s not a routine activity - we take the action needed when it’s needed. However, feeling stressed for prolonged or intense periods of time will quite literally take a toll on our health. Balance doesn’t need to be in equal measure but there does need to be times for rest/recovery so that we can sustain our efforts and energies. This is especially true for those holding roles in leadership or business development where the expectations of others are high. If this caption is feeling like it was meant for you - perhaps the stick in the eye that you’ve been dodging, let’s chat! In health and friendship Brooke

Very cool message today in my DMs“I came across your profile while seeking connections with fellow working Moms, Dads, and Professionals who have shown interest in "Work-Life Balance".”🎉🎉 yes! I am a professional with interest in worklife balance. In fact, I am hosting a workshop later today as a lunch & learn at BDC in the context how to manage priorities at home and at work during “busy” seasons when the volume and urgency are high! For all the times I’ve complained about it, I’d like to thank the LinkedIn algorithm for seeing and recognizing me in a search 😂😂—If we haven’t met yet, hello! Tom Oluwole’s post really resonated today. This is a significant part of the support work that I do as a Coach for women who are moving up in leadership roles. It is not always easy to see how the perceptions and expectations of others shift if you haven’t been exposed to that next level … but catching on quickly is part of the onboarding success.
